Eparchy of Mukachevo: Mother Church of the Ruthenian Greek Catholic Church

This is the oldest diocese (eparchy) of the Byzantine-Ruthenian Catholic Church. The province known now as Transcarpathian Oblast is the traditional home of the Carpatho-Rusyn people, and the territory of the eparchy covers the entire oblast.
